Finally found an excuse to check out Carls Jr since we had never had it before. Asked the girl at the drive though what was the most popular thing so we knew what to get... she made two recommendations but it was clear she wasn't too enthusiastic about the food. We went with the #1. I appreciated the paper wrapping so that we could eat and drive, but that was about it. The burger itself wasn't anything special or different from a Wendy's #1. The fries were good and crispy but not my favorite. I'm glad we tried it, but won't be wishing we had Carls Jr in Florida any time soon.

pretty standard Carl's Jr. Always nice to have some fries and chicken bowl with salad on the road trip. And its guacamole burger is something different to try out.

This has got to be the most embarrassingly poorly run fast food establishment I've ever been to.... Drive thru was closed (should have been a red flag) - we walked in to get takeout and have been waiting 20 minutes for our food. There are stacks of burgers and fries prepared but none of the staff has a clue of who is getting what... They are just randomly giving all the wrong people all the wrong food. It's actually kind of hilarious. We have now decided to leave without our food because this is unbelievable.

The slowest service I have ever seen. Clueless employees who just wander around the store doing nothing.

Bathroom stall had toilet missing cover. Should have been an indication of the type of place this was. I ordered sweet potato fries and it was sweet potato and reg fries together. A majority of the soda was flat. Mainly water missing carbonation or syrup. Def wouldn't have stopped had I known it was going to be this bad. Garbage was full to the rim and the soda machine was almost filled w liquid because of the soda issue. The sandwich was defiantly not worth the price. Very little bbq on the chicken sandwich.

If you live in California, eating at Carl's jr is no big deal. But when u live in Florida , eating at a Carl's jr in Colorado is magical

Downright bad employees. Apparently when on break, the employees feel free to curse and be vulgar. First, one employee is talking to his 'foo', who is in prison, via cell phone dropping f-bombs and the n-word. This went on, with our kids present and in full hearing of all patrons and other employees, for about 15 minutes. He goes back to work to cook burgers. Perfect person to be handling food. Now two gals come out and start cursing about their job and their supervisor. I look at them and they give me a 'go to h**ll' look. Slummy Carl's Jr. Go to McD's next door.

Quick stop here on our way out to Moab from Denver. Just looking for something quick and cheap and this place delivered pretty well. We both got burritos which were very reasonably priced, and pretty tasty (nothing mind-blowing, for for ~$3/pp it was a crazy cheap lunch). The service was incredibly slow, but it seemed like they were pretty swamped with drive-thru orders. All in all, we were very satisfied.

The food was horrendous, and the place was disguising! Will never try again!

We don't have Carl's Jr in Minneapolis, so when we happened onto this exit during a tour of CO ski resorts, the hubs and I HAD to drive thru. I was excited to see that they have a fish sandwich on the menu - fast food noshing attempts. can be very futile for pescatarians. I grabbed the fish, the hubs grabbed the standard, and we went on our way. The food was solid - no complaints. I routinely discourage giving fast food burger joints more than three stars (if and when I patronize them) due to the fact that they're eating YOU up as fast as you're eating them. However, this place gets four stars due to a special customer service aspect that I've never received from any other interstate pit stop. Upon opening my fish sammy I noted that they had wrapped it in a way that made eating while driving SO easy! They wrapped half of the sandwich, doubling the rest of the wrap back over, then wrapped the entire sandwich in a separate wrap. Mad props for this ingenious touch of service!

I have long favored Carls Jr as a burger place, and was pleased to see one in Idaho Springs on the way back from rafting...bizarrely, in the same plaza as a McDonalds. Their Famous Star is their trademark burger, and nothing beats ripping a coupon out from an Entertainment book and going, "Free Famous Star, please!" :D There are, of course, other sandwiches there -- and I have yet to stumble across a bad one. They just have that BURGER taste you want!! (Mc D's, Wendy's, BK don't, and I've heard varying reports about Good Times...I like them, but...*shrug*). Friendly service through the drive-through. Warning: eating a standard Famous Star, and probably some of their other sandwiches, might leave your hand and/or steering wheel gooey if you're refueling after a mountain-type adventure...be wary of this, since I-70 is a wonderful roller-coaster curvy ride...

Carls is Carls and they have a decent burger at other locations , but this has to be the slowest Carls on the face of the earth. It's not fast food, and if there is a line there, forget it. Something off about the burgers here. Cold old and not that great. I have been here a bunch of times and finally gave up. An unfortunate fail.

Food was a little better than a typical fast food chain, but I'm writing this review because this was the most attentive professional staff I've seen at a fast food restaurant. Worth a stop

Finally! Fast food that tastes homemade! If you need a fast burger fix on I70 west of Denver, Carls Jr has opened a new restaurant in Idaho Springs just off the first exit going west. My personal favorite is the "Big Carl" with jalapenos, which is a fast food burger to die for. The interior is done in a skiing / boarding motif, and a few of the booths are made from old ski lift chairs. The staff is friendly (novel concept for a fast food joint, no?) and the prices are right in line with those other fast food guys.
